Reiki is an energy healing practice that originated in Japan in 1922. It works by channeling universal life force energy through the practitioner’s hands and into the client’s body. This energy naturally integrates into the chakras and nervous system, encouraging deep relaxation, pain relief, faster healing, and a reduction in physical, emotional, and mental stress.
Throughout life, we experience events that can create energetic blockages. When left unresolved, these blockages may manifest as emotional, mental, or physical imbalances. Reiki gently clears these disruptions, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal while improving overall well-being and quality of life.
Many people carry trauma—whether from personal experiences such as loss, abuse, or PTSD, or from inherited generational patterns passed down through family lines. Reiki can help release the weight of this unresolved energy, providing healing for both ourselves and our ancestors while preventing it from continuing into future generations.
At its core, Reiki restores balance by aligning mind, body, and spirit. The beauty of Reiki is that your body knows exactly where the energy is most needed and guides it there naturally.

During a Reiki session, you’ll rest comfortably on a massage table in a warm, calming atmosphere that I’ve created with intention. I will gently move around the table, placing my hands in various healing positions—either lightly on your body or hovering just above, depending on your comfort level with touch. Sessions typically begin at the head and move down through the body’s chakras, always avoiding sensitive and private areas.
Before we begin, we’ll have a brief consultation to discuss your needs, intentions, and whether you prefer a hands-on or hands-off approach.
A deep sense of relaxation, sometimes even falling asleep
Warmth or heat radiating from my hands
Gentle tingling sensations where my hands are placed
Visual imagery, colors, or symbolic journeys in the mind’s eye
Subtle physical movements, twitches, or energy shifts in the body
Vibrations or pulsing in the chakras
Emotional release, such as tears (tissues are always available)
Spontaneous memory flashes
Stomach rumbling as energy flows and the body resets
You may experience some, all, or none of these responses. Each session is unique, and there is no “right” way to feel. Reiki energy works subtly and intelligently, supporting your body and spirit in the ways you need most.

After a Reiki session, many clients describe feeling both deeply grounded and light, with a renewed sense of clarity and overall well-being. Because Reiki places you in a very relaxed state, it may take a little time to gently return to full awareness. I always provide a quiet space and water afterward to support this transition.
It’s recommended to give yourself the rest of the day to rest and restore—napping if possible—so the energy can continue to flow and integrate effortlessly through your body. Many people choose to book regular sessions to maintain their energetic balance and to steadily work toward their wellness goals.
I will always ask for your feedback after a session, not only to ensure your comfort but also to understand where our continued focus should be in future sessions and what no longer requires attention.
